About MBC
Our mission is to glorify God by promoting the gospel of Jesus Christ, through summer camp and year-round retreat ministry.
Malagash Bible Camp was established in 1969 by a group of believers seeking to establish a Christian camp ministry, to share the gospel with youth and families in Nova Scotia and beyond. Located on the Northumberland Strait, Malagash welcomes hundreds of campers each year to enjoy the beautiful beach, recreational fields, and worship in our beloved chapel. MBC is run by a volunteer Board of Directors and an on-site Executive Director. Our goal is to offer affordable, non-denominational retreats and camps that share God’s love and desire for all people to know and follow Jesus.
Meet Rachel
Rachel Forsythe is our Executive Director and administrator extrordinaire. She lives on-site with her husband Johnathan and their daughter Margaret. With a background in customer service management and deep-rooted faith in Christ, Rachel works hard to serve our campers and ensure they have the best possible experience when visiting Malagash — from registration to final farewells. Rachel is busy behind the scenes year-round coordinating volunteers, hosting retreats, welcoming rental groups, training staff, and more! She and her family are such a blessing to Malagash, and we are so thankful for their ministry and service to the Kingdom. Be sure to say Hi to Rachel, Johnny, and Margaret next time you visit!
